Our Story

Born and raised in the South, the owner of Whoopie Squares, Aubrey Jordan, had never heard of a whoopie pie until moving to New England a few years ago for graduate school.  Whoopie pies quickly became her favorite dessert, wrapping up the best parts of a cupcake, cookie, and cake all in one delicious package.  Upon moving back to North Carolina she was hard pressed to find anyone carrying this delightful little treat, so she took to the kitchen and baked her own. What started off as a hobby has become a full-blown passion to share whoopie pies with those who have never heard of this sweet treat along with those who are life-long whoopie pie fans.   

Whoopie Squares are unique in appearance and in taste.  Instead of the typical round pie shape, our pies are in the shape of squares. We've found that the square shape adds to this dessert's portability and enjoyability. Baked at The Cookery in Durham, NC, Whoopie Squares supports local businesses by using organic ingredients from farms such as Maple View Farms and Latta's Egg Ranch. These handmade gourmet snacks are high in quality and flavor- No preservatives in these babies so you know you're always getting a fresh product. That also means they need to be enjoyed quickly. No worries though, these little guys are so adorably tempting they won't last on the table or counter for very long!
